Hammerhand

Tradestaff is looking for an experienced Hammerhand to work across a range of Rotorua construction sites. If you’ve got solid building experience, confident tool skills and enjoy getting stuck into hands-on work, we want to hear from you.


Location: Various sites across Rotorua

Start date: Immediate start

Pay rate: $27–$31 per hour + weekly pay


  • What You’ll Be DoingAssist qualified carpenters with day-to-day building work
  • Help with framing and general construction tasks
  • Measure, cut and prepare materials accurately
  • Use hand and power tools confidently
  • Complete basic installation and building work
  • Prepare work areas and materials for upcoming tasks
  • Work alongside site crews to keep jobs progressing efficiently
  • What We’re Looking ForAt least 2 years of hands-on construction or carpentry experience
  • Good practical knowledge of building and construction
  • Confidence using common hand and power tools
  • Ability to measure, cut and complete basic building tasks accurately
  • Physically fit and comfortable with hands-on site work
  • Full NZ Driver Licence and reliable transport
  • Reliable, safety-conscious and able to work effectively within a team
