Job Description

We are looking for reliable, hard-working, and physically fit Scaffolders to join our team.

Combine your technical knowledge of structural safety with the heavy manual labour required to build, alter, and dismantle scaffolding systems across our residential and commercial sites.


Key Responsibilities & Duties


Technical & Safety Duties


• Erect, alter, and dismantle various scaffolding systems (tube & clip, ring/system scaffold)

• Inspect sites and structures, identifying potential hazards

• Ensuring all completed builds are safe, stable, compliant, and tagged correctly

• Interpret plans and load requirements to ensure structures meet light, medium, or heavy-duty specifications.


Physical & Labouring Duties


• Load, unload, and carry heavy scaffolding components (steel tubes, planks, and ledgers weighing up to 25kg) from trucks to the build area.

• Working within manual chains, safely passing heavy equipment up and down the structure using ropes, gin wheels, or hand-to-hand methods.

• Use scaffolding spanners and tools for extended periods to tighten couplers, secure ties, and drive pins

• Groundwork & Site Prep: Manually clear debris, level ground, and layout heavy timber sole boards and base plates.

• Yard Maintenance. Sort, inspect, and service returned gear—including wire-brushing rusted clips and checking timber planks for defects.


Requirements


• Right to work in New Zealand preferred

• Overseas qualifications (i.e., NCII) will be reviewed case by case

• Working at Heights preferred though not essential for right candidate
