Stringfellow Contracts Ltd is a well-established Civil Engineering Contractor located in Palmerston North.


Stringfellows is well known for high-quality infrastructure work involving earthmoving, roading, drainage and retaining structures.


We currently have a full-time position available for a roller and water cart operator in our pavement crew. In particular we are looking for employees with some prior experience in a roller and or water-cart.


The position could also suit experienced operators who would like to eventually upskill onto a grader over time.


Mentoring and a training programme would be provided by Stringfellows, with the successful applicant completing national trade certificates as part of their training if they wished.


In particular, we are looking for someone who has:


  • The ability to work alone, as part of a team and ultimately leading a team of other staff
  • Physical fitness
  • A willingness to learn
  • Enjoys solving problems
  • Prior experience in civil construction would be beneficial

Relocation costs may be available for applicants from outside the region.
