About the Role

As a Quality Assurance Technician, you'll support the successful delivery of sealing projects by conducting inspections, monitoring quality requirements, and maintaining accurate records throughout the sealing process.


Key responsibilities include:

  • Carrying out pre-seal inspections and confirming sites are ready for sealing.
  • Completing on-site QA checks, testing, sampling, and measurements during sealing operations.
  • Monitoring works against seal designs, specifications, and quality requirements.
  • Maintaining accurate sealing records, dockets, inspection reports, and QA documentation.
  • Identifying and communicating quality issues early so they can be addressed efficiently.
  • Assisting with post-seal inspections and quality assurance close-out activities.
  • Working closely with sealing crews, supervisors, and project teams to ensure high-quality outcomes.


To be successful in this role, you'll bring:

  • Class 2 licence preferred, but not essential.
  • Strong attention to detail and a practical, hands-on attitude.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team.
  • Good organisational skills and the ability to maintain accurate records.
  • Strong time management skills and the ability to work independently when required.
  • Confidence working outdoors in active civil construction and roading environments.
  • A willingness to learn and develop knowledge of chip sealing operations and quality assurance processes.


You must also be:

  • Available to work away from home for extended periods when required.
  • Willing to work weekends, including Sundays, during peak operational periods.


Experience

Previous experience in civil construction, roading, quality assurance, or a related field would be advantageous but is not essential. Full training and ongoing support will be provided to the right candidate.
