Looking for something a little different from the usual construction role?


We’re recruiting for an established New Zealand company looking for an experienced Senior Installer to join their Auckland team.


This is a genuinely hands-on role. You’ll be on the tools, working alongside a small crew carrying out specialist installation, construction, coating and maintenance work across a range of commercial projects.

You’ll also take the lead onsite when required - helping organise the crew, keeping jobs moving, talking with clients and making sure the work is completed safely and to a high standard.


Projects will take you throughout New Zealand and occasionally into the Pacific Islands, so this will suit someone who enjoys being out on site, travelling with work and doing something different from the usual building job.


You don’t need experience in this particular industry. Full specialist training will be provided. We’re more interested in finding someone with a solid trade or construction background who is practical, reliable and confident leading by example.


What you'll be doing


  • Working hands-on across specialist installation and construction projects
  • Using hand and power tools daily
  • Carrying, preparing, measuring, cutting and installing materials
  • Completing specialist timber installation, coating and maintenance work
  • Working alongside and leading small crews onsite
  • Setting up sites and preparing materials and equipment for upcoming jobs
  • Making sure work is completed safely, efficiently and to a high standard
  • Reading plans, taking measurements and solving practical issues onsite
  • Liaising with clients and contractors while on site
  • Helping train and support junior installers and labourers
  • Loading, unloading and transporting tools and materials
  • Travelling throughout New Zealand and occasionally to the Pacific Islands


What we're looking


  • for Minimum 5 years' construction or trade experience
  • Strong hands-on practical ability
  • Comfortable working on the tools every day
  • Experience leading workers or small crews would be highly regarded
  • Confident using hand and power tools
  • Able to measure accurately and work from plans or instructions
  • Good practical problem-solving skills
  • Physically fit and comfortable with manual work
  • High standards around workmanship and attention to detail
  • Comfortable dealing with clients onsite
  • Flexible and genuinely happy travelling regularly for work
  • Full NZ Class 2 driver licence
  • Confident driving manual vehicles
  • NZ citizen with a current NZ passport
  • Ability to pass police and site access checks
  • Keen to learn a specialist trade and develop long term


Carpenters, builders, roofers, flooring installers, painters, joiners, fabricators and experienced construction workers are all encouraged to apply.
