Millennium Hotels and Resorts NZ is looking for an innovative and passionate Social Media & Communications Manager to take our national digital presence to the next level.


With a portfolio of hotels across New Zealand under the Grand Millennium, Millennium, M Social, Copthorne and Kingsgate brands, you’ll have the opportunity to tell the stories of some of the country’s most exciting hotel experiences while working as part of a supportive and creative marketing team.


What you’ll be doing


You’ll be responsible for bringing our brands to life across social media, digital communications and national marketing campaigns.


Content & Brand Storytelling


  • Create engaging, on-brand content including short-form video, Reels, photography, captions, blogs and campaign content .
  • Follow our Global Social Media Guidelines and ensure all content reflects our brand voice and identity.
  • Capture authentic content across our hotels throughout New Zealand.
  • Turn everyday hotel experiences into compelling stories that create emotion and connection.
  • Develop creative content that inspires engagement, awareness and bookings.


Social Media Management

  • Own and manage national and property-specific social media channels and content calendars.
  • Create and execute social strategies across Instagram, Facebook, TikTok and LinkedIn .
  • Grow engagement, followers and overall brand visibility.
  • Manage online communities and respond to guest interactions.
  • Support PR activity and reputation management, including crisis communications when required.


Email & Digital Communications


  • Plan, create and deliver targeted EDM campaigns through Revinate .
  • Write engaging subject lines and copy that encourage customers to click, engage and book.
  • Monitor campaign performance and use data and insights to continually improve results.


Collaboration & Partnerships


  • Work closely with our creative brand and performance marketing teams.
  • Align content with commercial objectives, campaigns, promotions and seasonal activity.
  • Develop relationships with influencers and content creators.
  • Identify opportunities to showcase our hotels, people, destinations and experiences.
  • Travel to our properties around New Zealand to capture content and bring our brands to life.


What we’re looking for


We’re looking for someone who can combine creativity with commercial thinking and isn't afraid to roll up their sleeves and get the content created.


You’ll ideally have:


  • 3+ years’ experience in social media, communications or digital marketing.
  • Experience within hospitality, tourism, travel or a similar customer-focused industry .
  • Strong copywriting and digital storytelling skills.
  • Communication is what we are looking, also a storyteller you know how to create great content
  • Proven hands-on experience creating video, photography and social content .
  • A strong understanding of social media platforms, trends and audience engagement.
  • Experience creating and managing EDM campaigns — Revinate experience is highly desirable .
  • Excellent understanding of brand voice and consistency.
  • The ability to work confidently within global brand guidelines.
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
  • A strategic mindset combined with a willingness to get hands-on.
  • Initiative, creativity and the ability to work independently.
  • A positive, collaborative “make it happen” attitude.
  • A full NZ driver licence and the ability to travel nationally.
