Our client is seeking an experienced GIB Stopper to undertake plasterboard stopping and preparation work across residential and/or light commercial property projects.


Your Main Responsibilities Will Include:

- Stop plasterboard joints, corners and fixing points

- Apply base coats and finishing compounds

- Install and finish internal and external corner beads

- Tape joints and prepare surfaces for finishing

- Build up coats to achieve a smooth, even surface

- Sand and prepare stopped surfaces ready for painting

- Repair damaged plasterboard and existing stopped surfaces

- Identify and correct imperfections before final finishing

- Maintain clean and tidy work areas

- Follow site health and safety procedures


Ideally you will be an experienced GIB Stopper who understands that preparation and attention to detail are critical to producing an excellent final painted finish.
