Picker & Counterbalance Forklift Operator | Immediate Start


We are currently seeking reliable and motivated Picker & Counterbalance Forklift Operators to join a busy warehouse operation based in Rolleston. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a forklift certificate, looking to gain more experience in a busy warehouse environment.

Key Responsibilities


  • Picking customer orders accurately and efficiently
  • Stacking products onto pallets ready for dispatch
  • Operating a counterbalance forklift to relocate pallets as instructed
  • Working within the warehouse racking system
  • Ensuring stock movements are completed safely and within required timeframes
  • Completing daily pre-operational checks on assigned material handling equipment (MHE)
  • Maintaining housekeeping standards and keeping work areas tidy
  • Reporting equipment, stock, or safety issues to management
  • Completing administration tasks as required
  • Following all company procedures and operational requirements
  • Using equipment safely and only when trained and authorised to do so


To Be Successful, You Will


  • Hold a current forklift licence (OSH Certificate)
  • Be willing to undertake training on a small electric PM counterbalance forklift
  • Be physically fit and capable of manual handling tasks
  • Have strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Be proficient in spoken and written English
  • Be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Have reliable transport to and from work
  • Demonstrate a strong commitment to workplace health and safety
  • Additional Requirements
  • Pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol test
  • Undergo a criminal history check
  • Have the legal right to work in New Zealand
