About the role


We are looking for a fabulous and vibrant Café Assistant to work at our in stunning village in Golflands – Fairway Gardens.  Reporting to the Food Services Manager, you will be providing exceptional service and a great dining experience to our residents, family and friends!


This is a permanent, part-time position working Sunday 8.30am to 3.30pm = 6.5hrs week.


There may also be the opportunity for you to pick up additional shifts also.


Some of the great things you will be doing:


  • Taking food and beverage orders from our residents, visitors and staff
  • Making amazing cups of coffee (semi-automatic machine)
  • Serving and collecting meals in our café
  • Assisting the Cook with food prep in the Kitchen
  • Operating the cash register
  • General cleaning including café equipment and washing up in the kitchen


About you


You have exceptional customer service skills and a vibrant and welcoming personality.


Some things that will support your application include:


  • Impeccable personal presentation
  • A warm and friendly nature and a ‘Can do attitude’
  • Mature and reliable with exceptional communication skills
  • A Hygiene & Food Handling Certificate (not essential) as well as and/or commercial kitchen experience
