We are looking for an experienced and customer-focused Catering Supervisor to join our team at Waitākere Hospital .


This is a permanent position with 24 guaranteed hours per week . You will supervise daily catering operations and support the performance, training and coordination of team members.

You will help deliver quality food and professional service while ensuring food production, front-of-house and back-of-house activities meet contractual, food safety and health and safety requirements.

  • Supervise, train and coordinate catering team members during daily operations.
  • Manage task allocation and team rosters to support efficient service delivery.
  • Oversee food preparation, portioning and presentation in line with dietary needs.
  • Deliver professional customer service and respond appropriately to requests.
  • Maintain high food safety, infection control and health and safety standards.

  • Previous experience in a similar catering or hospitality role.
  • The ability to lead a team while also working independently when required.
  • Good communication skills and a professional, customer-focused approach.
  • A flexible, reliable and hardworking attitude.
  • The physical fitness required to safely complete the duties of the role.
  • An NZQA Food Handling Certificate covering Units 167 and 168 would be advantageous.
