Job Description

We’re on the hunt for an experienced Civil Foreman to join a well-established civil company delivering projects across Canterbury. If you know how to run a crew, keep jobs on track, and aren’t afraid to get stuck in when needed – this one’s for you.


What you’ll be doing:


  • Leading and supervising civil crews on site
  • Coordinating day-to-day operations to keep projects on track
  • Reading and working from plans/specs
  • Managing plant, materials, and subcontractors
  • Ensuring health & safety standards are upheld
  • Liaising with site managers, engineers, and clients


What we’re looking for:


  • Proven experience as a Civil Foreman or Leading Hand
  • Strong background in Civil
  • Confident running a crew and making decisions on site
  • Good understanding of H&S and site compliance
  • WTR endorsements and Class 4+ licence (ideal but not essential)
  • Ability to lead by example and get stuck in when needed
  • Tech-savvy and confident using site management software, plans, and digital tools to keep projects running smoothly
