Intermediate Geotechnical Engineer/Engineering Geologist, $80,000 -$100,000 Hamilton, Waikato

My client is a mid-sized progressive specialist geotechnical engineering, environmental management and contaminated consultancy whose highly experienced and highly qualified team of geotechnical engineers and geologists provide expertise on a wide range of simple to complex projects.

Due to the continued growth of their business, they are looking to expand their great team and take on an Intermediate Level Geotechnical Engineer/Engineering Geologist.


You will play a critical role in the successful delivery of a diverse range of challenging and stimulating projects from inception to completion whilst receiving industry leading mentoring and development.

The Role


  • As an Intermediate Geotechnical Engineer/Engineering Geologist you will be responsible for undertaking investigations and assessments, preparing designs, writing reports and completing site observations and testing and construction observation.
  • Performing geotechnical site investigations and analyses
  • Overseeing the management of geotechnical observation for construction projects
  • Liaising with clients and contractors to ensure smooth communication, construction bookings and site observation follow up
  • Conducting geotechnical engineering assessments
  • Using software to understand data and modellin
  • Attending training and developing relevant knowledge and skill
  • Staying up to date with relevant standards, codes and legislation


About You


  • Degree in engineering or science
  • Minimum of 3-6 years of geotechnical/Geology consulting experience
  • Valid NZ driver's licence and NZ residency
  • Salary will be reflective of your qualifications and experience.
