About the Role


This is a senior leadership opportunity for an accomplished Head of Engineering to take ownership of engineering strategy, execution, people leadership and operational excellence.


Working closely with the executive team, you will translate business objectives into technical outcomes, ensuring the successful delivery of roadmap initiatives while maintaining high standards across quality, performance, security and reliability.

You’ll lead a multidisciplinary engineering function, champion continuous improvement, and foster a culture where innovation, accountability and collaboration thrive.


Day-to-Day Responsibilities


  • Develop and execute the engineering strategy in alignment with business and product objectives
  • Lead engineering teams across software development, architecture and quality assurance
  • Oversee the design, development and deployment of scalable cloud-based solutions
  • Partner with Product, Design and other business stakeholders to deliver roadmap initiatives
  • Drive platform reliability, availability, security and operational excellence
  • Manage engineering budgets, resource allocation and technology investment decisions
  • Mentor and develop leaders and engineers, building capability across the function
  • Evaluate emerging technologies, tools and frameworks to enhance product delivery
  • Lead incident management, continuous improvement initiatives and post-incident reviews
  • Oversee compliance requirements, security practices and risk management activities

Skills & Experience


  • Proven success leading software engineering teams in a senior leadership capacity
  • 10+ years of software engineering experience, including significant people leadership responsibilities
  • Strong background in software architecture, cloud technologies and modern engineering practices
  • Demonstrated ability to build high-performing teams and develop technical leaders
  • Experience delivering complex products in an agile and fast-paced environment
  • Strong commercial acumen with experience managing budgets, priorities and resources
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills across technical and non-technical audiences
  • Solid understanding of platform security, compliance frameworks and service reliability principles
  • Exposure to modern technology stacks including cloud-native environments, React, Go or similar technologies will be advantageous
  • Experience within a SaaS business environment is highly desirable
