About the role


Our Whangarei Park Village in Whangarei is looking for a part time Kitchen Hand to deliver excellent service to our residents. This role would suit someone who is wanting to start a career in the kitchen and enjoys working as part of a team as well as working unsupervised.


Permanent role - 20 hours per week- Shifts are 3pm to 7 pm Saturday to Wednesday


Duties include:


  • Collecting used dishes, running the dishwasher
  • General cleaning in the Kitchen
  • Assisting with preparation of meals
  • Delivering food to our care home (within the property)


Skills and Experience Required:


  • Commercial kitchen experience (advantageous)
  • Positive attitude and a strong team player
  • Excellent food hygiene skills
  • Good time management and communication skills
  • A Hygiene & Food Handling Certificate (advantageous)
