Job Description

Class 4 Civil Driver

Join a leading earthmoving contractor delivering major civil infrastructure projects across Queenstown. We're looking for an experienced Class 4 Civil Driver to support earthworks crews with safe material transport and site operations.


Location: Queenstown

Start date: Immediate start available

Pay rate: From $32+ per hour (depending on experience)

  • What you'll be doing:Operating Class 4 tipper trucks, water carts, and other heavy vehicles on civil construction sites
  • Transporting aggregates, spoil, rock, fill, and construction materials between quarries, stockpiles, and work sites
  • Working closely with excavator operators, loaders, and site supervisors to keep earthmoving operations running efficiently
  • Completing pre-start vehicle inspections and maintaining accurate daily logbooks
  • Loading and unloading materials safely while following site traffic management plans
  • Assisting with general site duties when required, including labouring, spotting plant, and maintaining a tidy worksite
  • Following all health and safety procedures while complying with company policies and NZTA requirements
  • What we're looking for:Full New Zealand Class 4 Licence
  • Previous experience driving within the civil construction or earthmoving industry
  • Confidence working around heavy machinery and busy construction sites
  • Physically fit and willing to get out of the truck and support the crew
  • Reliable, safety-focused, and a strong team player
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol test
