Temporary engineering fitter/ welder


We are currently seeking a temporary engineering fitter/ welder to support our engineering workshop over the next couple of months.


We are looking for someone who is skilled at building and setting up new truck builds from technical drawings, or someone who is skilled at various repair and maintenance engineering on existing plant, trucks and equipment. Pay negotiable based on experience


Key responsibilities could include;


  • Reading and interpreting technical drawings, plans and specifications for new truck builds
  • Assembling, fitting and installing components, structures and systems as part of a new truck build
  • Operate tools, machinery and workshop equipment safely and effectively
  • Maintain a clean, organised and safe work area
  • Carry out welding, fabrication, maintenance and repair work
  • Inspect damaged or worn components to determine repair solutions
  • Perform general engineering and workshop tasks to support day-today operations


We are looking for someone who has;


  • Proven experience in fitting, assembly or engineering workshop environments
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and practical problem-solving skills
  • High attention to detail and a commitment to quality workmanship
  • Reliable, self motivated and able to work well as part of a team
