Job Description

We are looking for a reliable and hardworking Recycling Team Member to join the landfill and resource recovery operations team at EnviroNZ Taupo!. This hands-on role is focused on helping divert recyclable materials from landfill, maintaining a safe and clean work environment, and supporting efficient site operations.


You will work as part of a team sorting recyclable materials, assisting customers and contractors, and helping ensure environmental and safety standards are met at all times.


Key Responsibilities

  • Sort and recover recyclable materials from incoming waste streams
  • Assist with the safe operation of recycling and waste management areas
  • Direct and assist customers using the recycling facilities
  • Maintain cleanliness and organisation across the site
  • Identify hazardous or prohibited materials and report issues promptly
  • Follow all health, safety, and environmental procedures
  • Work collaboratively with team members and site operators
  • Assist with general labouring and operational duties as required

  • Physically fit and capable of manual handling tasks
  • Reliable, punctual, and safety-conscious
  • Good communication and teamwork skills
  • Previous experience in waste management, recycling, labouring, or similar industries is an advantage but not essential
