Job Description

Gain valuable industrial electrical experience on a large-scale geothermal plant in Taupō.

  • Taupo, Waikato
  • $27-$31 Per Hour + 8% Holiday Pay
  • Work on a unique site where no two days are the same

We're looking for motivated Electrical Trade Assistants to join a team working on a major project in Taupō. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain experience on a large-scale industrial site, work alongside experienced electricians, and build your skills within the renewable energy sector.

About the role: Working under the guidance of qualified electricians, you'll assist with a range of electrical installation tasks across the geothermal plant site.


  • Responsibilities: Cable pulling
  • Installing and securing cable tray and ladder systems
  • Assisting with electrical equipment installation
  • Basic tool operation and site labouring duties
  • Maintaining a clean and safe work environment
  • Following all site safety procedures and requirements
  • What we're looking for: Previous experience as an Electrical Trade Assistant preferred
  • Experience with cable pulling and tray installation advantageous
  • Site Safe passport (or willingness to obtain)
  • EWP Required
  • Class 1 Driver License
  • Ability to pass pre-employment drug and alcohol testing
