He angitūtanga / The opportunity:


We are looking for an experienced and customer-focused Lounge Supervisor to join our team at Wellington Airport .


This is a permanent weekend position with 17 guaranteed hours per week . You will supervise lounge operations and support a talented team to deliver warm, professional service and memorable customer experiences.

You will lead by example, allocate tasks, assist with food and beverage service and ensure the lounge remains welcoming, clean and well presented. You will also uphold food safety, responsible alcohol service, health and safety and service standards.


Ko o kawenga / Your responsibilities:


  • Supervise team members, allocate tasks and provide hands-on support during service.
  • Deliver welcoming customer service and respond professionally to customer requests.
  • Oversee food and beverage preparation, presentation and service standards.
  • Maintain lounge, kitchen, buffet and service areas to high hygiene standards.
  • Support stock control, responsible alcohol service and team training activities.


He kōrero mōu / About you:


  • Previous experience in a similar hospitality or customer service role.
  • Strong leadership skills and the ability to work effectively within a team.
  • A current General Manager’s Certificate for liquor service.
  • Excellent communication skills and a flexible, customer-focused approach.
  • A reliable and hardworking attitude, with the physical fitness required for the role.
  • Previous supervisory experience or an NZQA Food Handling Certificate would be advantageous.
