Are you a passionate a registered Early Childhood Teacher looking for a centre where relationships, quality teaching, and a strong sense of community genuinely matter?


New Shoots Hillcrest are looking for a full-time preschool teacher. You will be confident in forming strong, kind, and meaningful relationships with our tamariki. You will have previous experience and enjoy bringing strength, knowledge, and fun into a team. This is an exciting opportunity to work with our older tamariki, fostering confidence, independence, creativity, and a lifelong love of learning.


New Shoots Hillcrest have a team of authentic, genuine and committed teachers that truly make every single child and their family feel special and an extension of the New Shoots whānau. Children are respected and their individual and unique personalities are nurtured.


We are looking for a kaiako who is:


  • Confident in their planning and documentation
  • Experienced in developing strong and meaningful connections with children and their families
  • An excellent communicator and listener
  • Has a creative mind with the ability to create exciting and intriguing provocations that extend on our tamariki's learning
  • A genuine child advocate
