Ross Reid Contractors is looking for an experienced Class 5 Truck & Trailer Driver to join our civil construction team in Queenstown.


This is a hands-on civil construction role requiring an experienced driver who is highly competent in tipping and spreading metal and understands the demands of working alongside earthworks and roading crews.


Essential Requirements

:

  • Current New Zealand Class 5 Driver Licence.
  • Minimum 5 years' proven Truck & Trailer experience in civil construction.
  • Extensive experience tipping and spreading aggregate/metal to specification.
  • Competent in spreading GAP, AP, basecourse, hardfill, sand, topsoil and other civil construction materials.
  • Good knowledge of Otago quarries, aggregate suppliers and haulage routes.
  • Experience working safely around excavators, graders, rollers, loaders and other heavy plant.
  • Strong understanding of safe loading, tipping and site operations.
  • Able to complete daily pre-start inspections and take pride in maintaining your truck and trailer.
  • Reliable, punctual and able to work as part of a professional team.
  • New Zealand Resident or New Zealand Citizen, with the legal right to work in New Zealand.


Drug & Alcohol Testing


Ross Reid Contractors operates a drug and alcohol-free workplace.


The successful applicant must pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol test and be willing to participate in random, reasonable-cause and post-incident testing in accordance with company policy.
