About the Role:


As our Centre Cook, you will plan, prepare, and cook fresh, nutritious meals and snacks for children from infants through to school age.


You will manage all aspects of the kitchen, including menu planning, food preparation, ordering, stock control, dietary requirements, and food safety compliance.

This is a permanent position working 31 hours per week, Monday-Friday. Ideally, the hours will be 8.00am-2.00pm, with flexibility open for discussion. This is a dedicated kitchen role and does not include classroom cover.


Role requirements:


Commit to making a difference in the lives of young learners with a team dedicated to excellence. We are looking for someone with:


  • Experience working in a busy commercial or professional kitchen
  • A passion for cooking nutritious meals for young children
  • Strong knowledge of food safety, hygiene, allergies, and dietary requirements
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills
  • Experience with menu planning, ordering, stock control, and kitchen records
  • The ability to work independently and manage a busy kitchen
  • A positive and reliable approach
