Carpenter

Tradestaff is looking for an experienced Carpenter for upcoming Ministry of Education and light commercial projects across Auckland. You’ll be working across a varied mix of construction work, so we’re looking for someone with solid trade skills, reliable workmanship and the ability to get stuck in from day one.


Location: Auckland City, Auckland

Start date: In approximately 2 weeks

Pay rate: $32–$35 per hour + weekly pay


  • What You’ll Be DoingCarry out carpentry work across Ministry of Education projects
  • Work on a range of light commercial construction sites
  • Complete renovation and alteration work
  • Assist with recladding and remediation projects
  • Complete framing, fixing and general carpentry
  • Read plans and work accurately to specifications
  • Maintain high standards of workmanship and site safety
  • What We’re Looking ForProven carpentry experience across commercial or residential construction
  • Strong all-round carpentry skills and quality workmanship
  • Own carpentry tools
  • Full NZ Driver Licence and reliable transport
  • Ability to meet clean MOJ requirements
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test
  • Reliable, safety-focused and comfortable working as part of a site crew
