We are looking for an enthusiastic, caring, and passionate Non-Certificated Reliever to join our team at Little Lights Kindy Rotorua!

As a Reliever, you’ll be an important part of our team, bringing your energy, warmth, and flexibility to support our tamariki and Kaiako across the centre. No two days are quite the same, and you’ll have plenty of opportunities to get involved in play, follow children’s interests, and make a real difference to their day.

Our peaceful, rural-feeling location gives tamariki plenty of space to explore, with real grass, native bush, and nearby paddocks where alpacas and sheep can sometimes be spotted! Inside, our age-appropriate spaces encourage children to create, experiment, imagine, and learn through hands-on experiences.


From getting creative with art and carpentry to enjoying music, storytelling, and coding with Bee-Bots, there’s always something exciting happening at Little Lights.

What we're looking for in you:


  • You’re passionate, caring, and committed to creating positive experiences for tamariki.
  • You have a warm, nurturing nature and enjoy building genuine relationships with children.
  • You’re flexible, reliable, and happy to jump in and support wherever needed.
  • Experience working with children is essential, with previous ECE experience preferred.
  • You’re enthusiastic about getting involved in play, learning, and children’s interests.
  • You’re a positive team player who enjoys working alongside others.
