Looking to build your carpentry career on quality commercial and civil projects? We're seeking experienced Hammerhands to join busy construction teams across Drury, working alongside skilled carpenters on a variety of well-managed sites.

Whether your experience is in commercial construction, civil projects or residential framing, this is a fantastic opportunity to build your skills, gain valuable experience and enjoy consistent work with a strong pipeline of upcoming projects. Location: Drury, South Auckland

Start date: Immediate start available

Pay rate: $28.00–$30.00 per hour | Weekly pay

About the Role


Working as part of experienced construction crews, you'll support all aspects of commercial and civil building projects. This is a hands-on role where you'll assist with framing, formwork, site preparation and general construction duties while learning from qualified tradespeople and contributing to quality project delivery.

  • What You'll Be DoingAssist carpenters with framing, formwork and structural carpentry
  • Prepare materials and tools for daily site activities
  • Read and work from basic plans and site instructions
  • Use hand and power tools safely and efficiently
  • Carry out site preparation, clean-up and material handling
  • Support concrete preparation and general construction work where required
  • Maintain a safe, clean and organised worksite
  • Work closely with site teams to keep projects running smoothly
  • What We're Looking ForPrevious Hammerhand or construction site experience
  • Experience on commercial, civil or residential construction projects
  • Confidence using hand and power tools
  • Own basic tools and reliable transport
  • Physically fit and comfortable with manual work
  • Site Safe passport preferred (or willingness to obtain one)
  • Reliable, hardworking and a positive team player
  • Strong commitment to health and safety
