We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Graduate Site Engineer to join our clients team on a 12-month fixed-term contract. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent engineering graduate to gain hands-on experience working on our clients project based in Porirua while learning from experienced industry professionals.


As a Graduate Site Engineer, you will play an important role in supporting the delivery of projects by assisting with site operations, quality assurance, planning, documentation, and stakeholder communication.


About the Role

Reporting to the Project Manager and Site Engineers, you will be involved in the day-to-day coordination and monitoring of construction activities, ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and to a high standard.


Key responsibilities include:

  • Assisting with the planning and coordination of site activities
  • Monitoring construction progress and reporting on project performance
  • Supporting quality assurance and compliance processes
  • Preparing and maintaining project documentation and records
  • Assisting with site inspections, surveys, and measurements
  • Coordinating with subcontractors, suppliers, and project stakeholders
  • Promoting and maintaining a strong health and safety culture
  • Supporting project delivery teams in achieving programme and budget objectives


About You:

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • A recent qualification in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering, or a related discipline
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • A positive attitude and willingness to learn
  • Good organisational and problem-solving abilities
  • The ability to work effectively both independently and within a team
  • Strong attention to detail
  • A full New Zealand driver's licence or the ability to obtain one
