Civil & Infrastructure Workers needed  now

Onestaff Dunedin is looking for experienced and reliable civil workers for a range of upcoming opportunities across Dunedin and Otago.


We work with a variety of civil contractors and infrastructure companies and regularly have opportunities for people with experience across roading, drainage, earthworks, transport and general civil construction. These roles can be of varying length, temporary and sometimes depending on requirements can lead to permanent work.


Roles we are looking for

  • Civil Labourers – general civil site work, labouring, site preparation and assisting trades/operators.
  • Drainage Labourers & Pipe Layers – drainage installation, trenching, pipe laying and associated civil works.
  • Civil Operators – experienced operators across a range of machinery and civil projects.
  • Roller/Compactor Operators – operating rollers and compactors on roading and civil sites.
  • Excavator/Digger Operators – operating excavators and other earthmoving equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Class 2–5 Civil Drivers – cartage, tip trucks, water carts and other transport duties depending on licence and experience.
  • Traffic Controllers / STMS – traffic management on roading and civil construction sites.
  • Roading & Surfacing Workers – experience in asphalt, chip sealing, reinstatement and general roading works.
  • Trenchless / Pipe Relining Workers – experience with pipe relining, trenchless technology, confined spaces or associated civil infrastructure work.


What we're looking for

We are interested in people with civil construction experience, whether you're an experienced operator or an all-round civil worker looking for your next opportunity.


Depending on the position, you'll ideally have:

  • Previous civil construction or infrastructure experience
  • Relevant NZ licences and/or operator tickets
  • Class 1–5 driver's licence where applicable
  • WTR endorsements
  • Traffic management qualifications where required
  • Confined Spaces quals and experience is advantageous
  • A good attitude and willingness to work as part of a team
  • Good understanding of site safety
  • Reliable transport and the ability to get to site


We have opportunities ranging from general labouring through to experienced operators, drivers and skilled civil workers.
