He angitūtanga / The opportunity:


We are looking for four enthusiastic Casual Bar Assistants to join our ESS team at Linton Military Camp. You will support the day-to-day operation of the bar, provide responsible service of alcohol and deliver friendly, professional customer service.


These are casual positions with no guaranteed hours. Shifts will be offered as and when required, depending on business needs.


Ko o kawenga / Your responsibilities:


  • Prepare the bar for service and assist with closing operations
  • Take customer orders and prepare and serve beverages responsibly
  • Provide warm, friendly and professional customer service
  • Operate the cash register and follow cash-handling procedures
  • Replenish supplies and assist with stocktaking and stock rotation
  • Keep the bar, equipment and public areas clean, hygienic and safe


He kōrero mōu / About you:


  • A valid Responsible Service of Alcohol certificate
  • Previous bar, hospitality or customer service experience
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • A reliable team player who can also work independently
  • The ability to work efficiently under pressure with good time-management skills
  • A flexible approach, good physical fitness and willingness to complete pre-employment checks
