We are looking for a positive, reliable and energetic Casual Cleaning Assistant to join our team at CHT St Johns in Epsom. This is a casual position with no guaranteed hours , offering flexible shifts based on site requirements and your availability. You will help maintain a clean, safe and comfortable environment for residents, visitors and staff while delivering high standards of service.


Ko o kawenga / Your responsibilities:


  • Clean resident rooms, bathrooms, toilets, offices and shared living areas to a high standard
  • Vacuum, mop and polish floors throughout the facility
  • Empty rubbish and maintain a tidy environment across all areas
  • Safely use, maintain and store cleaning equipment and chemicals
  • Follow infection control, health and safety, and security procedures at all times
  • Complete cleaning tasks efficiently and respond to additional cleaning requirements as needed


He kōrero mōu / About you:


  • Previous commercial cleaning experience, ideally within aged care, healthcare or hospitality environments
  • Good understanding of cleaning methods, infection control and hygiene practices
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to high cleaning standards
  • Friendly, reliable and professional with a positive can-do attitude
  • Flexible and available to work shifts at short notice when required
  • Passion for delivering excellent service and creating a welcoming environment for residents
