Got solid building experience, your own tools, and know your way around a construction site. We want to hear from you.


Tradestaff is looking for experienced Hammerhands to join busy construction teams across a range of residential and commercial projects. You’ll work alongside qualified carpenters and get stuck into practical building work from day one.

  • What you’ll be doingWorking alongside qualified carpenters on day-to-day construction tasks
  • Assisting with framing, fixing and general building work
  • Measuring, cutting and preparing building materials
  • Confidently using hand and power tools
  • Site preparation and general construction duties
  • Keeping work areas safe, clean and organised
  • Working independently when required and following site supervisors’ instructions
  • What we’re looking forMinimum 3 years’ residential or commercial construction experience
  • Full Class 1 or Restricted driver licence
  • Own reliable transport
  • Own hand and power tools
  • Strong practical building knowledge and confidence on construction sites
  • Physically fit and comfortable with hands-on work
  • Reliable, punctual and able to work well within a team
  • Strong health and safety awareness
  • Able to pass a pre-employment drug test
