Skilled Labourer

Tradestaff is looking for an experienced Skilled Labourer to work across a range of construction projects throughout Christchurch. If you’re confident on site, capable with tools, and know how to support trades while keeping the job moving, we want to hear from you.


Location: Various locations across Christchurch

Start date: Immediate start

Pay rate: $26–$28 per hour + weekly pay


  • What You'll Be DoingAssist qualified tradespeople with day-to-day construction work
  • Use hand and power tools confidently across a range of site tasks
  • Complete site preparation, demolition, and general building work
  • Move, organise, and prepare construction materials
  • Assist with basic carpentry, fixing, and practical building tasks
  • Help with site set-up and preparation as projects progress
  • Maintain safe, tidy, and productive work areas
  • What We're Looking ForPrevious hands-on construction experience is essential
  • Confident using common hand and power tools
  • Good practical understanding of construction sites and building processes
  • Physically fit and comfortable with demanding site work
  • Reliable, punctual, and able to follow instructions effectively
  • Strong awareness of workplace health and safety requirements
  • Site Safe would be advantageous
