Industrial Technician Required- Auckland and Wellington Regions


Day / Night shift (Depend on Jobs availability)

Full time/permanent position minimum 30 hours per week.


Transport provided

Generous bonus scheme

All Required training will be provided (Heights, first aid and more)


National Hood & Duct Cleaning Ltd is seeking a motivated individual to join our business, maintaining filters and grease extraction systems for commercial kitchens.


Sole charge position with teamwork required from time to time.

ABOUT THE ROLE:

Duties include:

  • Maintenance of extraction systems in Commercial restaurants, including filters, flues, ducting, rooftop fans and hoods. This involves some lifting and working at height.
  • Sometimes need to work in confined spaces (Required training will be provided)
  • Driving between our clients premises will be required, with some long distance travel.
  • Adherence to health and safety guidelines and security procedures. Daily equipment checks at end of shifts.
  • Keeping service records and managing schedule on a shared calendar. Regular reporting, and communication with management.
  • Flexible working hours including night shifts. Variation to hours may be required as operational needs dictate.
  • Vehicle provided for business use.
  • Some travel within the North & South Island may be required - Vehicle, accommodation and travel allowances provided.
  • There are opportunities for advancement to a team leader or supervisory position.


ABOUT YOU:

  • Minimum of 3 years relevant technical experience working in commercial kitchens including filters flues, ducting, rooftop fans and hoods or similar technical experience.
  • Mature & flexible individual.
  • Driver's Licence valid for driving in New Zealand, no criminal convictions and be willing to agree to a police check and/or drug test.
  • Must be comfortable with working at height-roofs, Confined spaces, and Operating EWPs. Training will be provided.
  • Strong work ethic with high standards and an eye for detail
  • Resourceful, able to use your initiative and have a positive can-do attitude
  • Able to work productively and self-motivate with minimal supervision
  • Confident driver at night and over long distances
  • Great team worker, good communicator with the team, management and customers
  • Fit, healthy and capable of the physical demands of the role
