About the Role:


As a Project Manager, you will oversee project planning, resource management, and effective communication with stakeholders. You will guide teams, resolve conflicts, manage risks, and ensure adherence to construction standards. Your ability to coordinate subcontractors, handle contractual obligations, and manage project completion processes will be critical.


  • Lead communication strategies and provide clear guidance to the project team.
  • Develop and implement project communication protocols and resource plans.
  • Manage programme schedules, temporary works, and completion milestones.
  • Monitor quality standards, manage value engineering, and track long-lead items.
  • Collaborate with subcontractors to ensure scope compliance and resolve conflicts.
  • Oversee contract management, insurance, and extension of time applications.
  • Ensure compliance with consent and regulatory requirements.
  • Lead planning processes, risk assessments, and critical safety measures.


What you will bring:


  • Minimum 5 years’ experience managing commercial construction projects over $40M.
  • Tertiary qualification in civil engineering, construction management, or a related field.
  • Strong communication, leadership, and decision-making skills.
  • Solid experience in project programming, financial management, and quality control.
  • Knowledge of New Zealand construction regulations and health & safety standards.
