Apple Thinning Supervisor – Fixed Term


Location: Rangitata, South Canterbury

Dates: 23 November – 24 December 2026


We are seeking a reliable and motivated Apple Thinning Supervisor to join our team for the upcoming thinning season at our modern apple orchard near Ashburton.


The role involves supervising a team of seasonal workers undertaking hand thinning, ensuring work is completed efficiently and to a high standard.


Key responsibilities:


  • Supervising and coordinating daily thinning activities.
  • Training staff in correct thinning techniques.
  • Monitoring work quality, productivity and progress.
  • Ensuring workplace health and safety standards are maintained.
  • Reporting daily progress to orchard management.


What we're looking for:


  • Previous orchard or team supervision experience preferred.
  • Good communication and organisational skills.
  • Ability to motivate and manage a diverse team.
  • Reliable, practical and willing to work alongside the team when required.
