We're looking for an experienced Transmission Supervisor to join our Energy & Utilities team in Palmerston North.


In this hands-on leadership role, you'll supervise transmission construction crews, coordinate site activities, manage subcontractors, and ensure work is delivered safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards. You'll work closely with project teams and clients while supporting the development of your crew through coaching, mentoring, and on-the-job leadership.


You'll be responsible for planning work programmes, allocating resources, maintaining productivity and quality targets, and fostering a strong Zero Harm culture across all site activities.

To be successful in this role, you'll bring:


  • National Certificate in Electricity Supply (Electrical) Level 4
  • Transmission Line Mechanic Certification
  • Transmission Line Mechanic Live Line Certification
  • Previous experience leading transmission construction crews
  • Strong knowledge of industry regulations and safe work practices
  • Experience planning work, coordinating resources, and managing subcontractors
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Basic computer skills and experience completing operational reporting
  • A commitment to mentoring and developing others
  • A strong focus on quality, safety, and continuous improvement
