Support quality food service at Koru Lounge, Christchurch Airport in a flexible casual Kitchen Hand role.

  • Casual hours offered on an as-and-when-required basis

We are looking for a reliable Kitchen Hand to support our catering operation at the Koru Lounge, Christchurch Airport. This is a casual position, with hours of work offered on an as-and-when-required basis .


You will help deliver a quality catering service by supporting food preparation, maintaining clean and tidy kitchen and dining areas, washing dishes and providing professional customer service. A proactive approach to health, safety, hygiene and food safety is an important part of the role. You MUST be available to work weekends.

  • Deliver warm, friendly and professional customer service.
  • Maintain clean and tidy kitchen, dining and public areas.
  • Assist with food preparation, portioning and plating for service.
  • Wash pots, pans, crockery and kitchen equipment.
  • Follow food safety, hygiene, health and safety procedures.

  • A reliable team player who is also able to work autonomously.
  • A flexible approach and positive attitude to your work.
  • Good communication skills and a strong work ethic.
  • Previous experience in a kitchen environment is desirable.
