Asphalt Team Members – Wairarapa

RobLawMax is looking for strong, reliable labourers with a full Class 1 NZ driver licence to join asphalt crews working across the Wairarapa region. This is hands-on, physical work for people who enjoy being outdoors, working hard, and seeing the results of their efforts on the roads we all use every day.

What’s the work like?


You’ll be working alongside an experienced asphalt crew, helping deliver quality road surfaces across the Wairarapa. When the trucks are rolling in, things move fast! You’ll need to be ready to get stuck in, work hard, and keep up with the pace. Between loads, you’ll get a chance to catch your breath before it’s time to go again. No two days are quite the same, but teamwork, a solid work ethic, and a willingness to get your hands dirty are essential.


What we’re looking for


  • Previous experience in roading and working in a sealing crew would be an advantage.
  • Full Class 1 NZ driver licence.
  • Physically fit – this is demanding, hands-on work.
  • Reliable and hardworking – you turn up ready to go and give it your best.
  • A team player – you understand that everyone has a role to play in getting the job done.
  • Safety conscious –look out for yourself and the people working alongside you.
  • Wheels, Rollers and Tracks endorsements – ideal, but if you don’t have them yet, you must be willing to obtain them.
  • You’ll also need to be able to pass a pre-employment drug test and a Ministry of Justice background check.
