Help strengthen conduct and risk culture outcomes across ASB.


We're looking for an experienced risk professional to join our Conduct Risk &

Risk Culture team. This is an opportunity to influence how conduct risk is understood, managed, and embedded across the bank through effective Line 2 oversight, practical advice, and meaningful challenge.


Te tūranga | The role


You'll work closely with stakeholders across ASB to:


  • Provide expert advice and guidance on conduct risk and risk culture
  • Review and challenge incidents, root cause analysis, and remediation actions
  • Identify emerging risks and support the business to address control gaps
  • Maintain policies, procedures, guidance, and training materials
  • Monitor adherence to conduct and risk culture requirements
  • Contribute insights and reporting for management, oversight committees, the Board, and regulators


This role offers significant exposure across the business and the opportunity to influence how risk is managed to support better customer and business outcomes.

You'll bring:


  • Experience in conduct risk, risk culture, operational risk, compliance, or a related discipline
  • Financial services experience within a medium to large organisation
  • Strong stakeholder management and influencing capability
  • The confidence to provide constructive challenge while building trusted relationships
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • A relevant tertiary qualification


Most importantly, you'll be passionate about helping organisations make better risk decisions and fostering a strong culture of accountability and customer focus.
