About the role


We're looking for a Cleaner (Domestic Aid) to join Powley Village in Blockhouse Bay, West Auckland.  You'll be working under the direction of the clinical team providing a high standard of cleaning within our Care Home.


This role is a permanent part time position, working 20 hours a week over 4 days - Monday to Thursday from 9am to 2.30pm. There will be opportunity for you to pick up additional shifts if desired.


Some of the great things you will be doing:


  • Provide exceptional cleaning support to our residents including processing Laundry
  • Ensuring high standards of cleanliness are maintained
  • Ensuring residents belongings are treated with respect
  • Ensuring all heath guidelines are followed


About you


We are looking for someone with the right attitude with excellent communication skills and who can work as part of a team to provide a high level of support in maintaining our care home to a high standard. Some things that will support your application include:


  • Good level of fitness
  • Previous cleaning experience is highly beneficial.
  • Empathy for the elderly and a love of making a difference in our residents' lives
  • Bright, breezy "can do" attitude and a team focus
