We are looking for experienced Chefs de Partie to join our culinary team at Auckland Airport .


This is a permanent position with 30 guaranteed hours per week . You will prepare, cook and present quality food while supporting a safe, efficient and well-organised kitchen.


You will help maintain high food safety standards, manage kitchen supplies, minimise waste and support colleagues through effective teamwork and on-the-job coaching.


Ko o kawenga / Your responsibilities:


  • Prepare, cook, portion and present menu items to a consistently high standard.
  • Maintain quality control and complete all end-of-service requirements.
  • Receive, store and rotate kitchen supplies while helping to minimise food waste.
  • Follow food safety, hygiene, cleaning and health and safety procedures.
  • Support colleagues through effective teamwork and on-the-job coaching.


He kōrero mōu / About you:


  • An NZQA Level 4 Certificate in Cookery or an equivalent qualification.
  • Previous cooking experience in a similar food service environment.
  • The ability to perform effectively under pressure while remaining professional.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently or in a team.
  • A flexible, reliable and hardworking approach, with good physical fitness.
  • An NZQA Food Handling Certificate, menu and nutrition planning experience, or previous experience leading and mentoring kitchen teams would be advantageous.
