Location: Varied sites across Waikato

Start date: Immediate start available

Pay rate: $25–36+ per hour (paid weekly)

About the role:

This is hands-on, physical work that requires teamwork, attention to detail, and a strong safety focus. You’ll work on a range of sites including residential builds, commercial projects, and industrial installations.

Key duties include:

  • Erect, modify, and dismantle scaffold systems
  • Pass materials and gear to teams working at height (ground crew)
  • Load/unload trucks and assist with site setups
  • Perform safety checks and ensure all scaffolds meet compliance
  • Read and follow instructions from senior scaffolders or site supervisors

Pay rates based on experience and qualification:

  • Entry-level / Ground crew (no ticket): $25–27 per hour
  • Level 3 NZ Certificate in Scaffolding (basic): $28–30 per hour
  • Level 4 NZ Certificate in Scaffolding (intermediate): $30–32 per hour
  • Level 5 NZ Certificate in Scaffolding (advanced): $33–36+ per hour

What we’re looking for:

  • Physically fit and comfortable with manual work
  • Working at Heights ticket (preferred for elevated roles)
  • NZ Scaffolding qualification (preferred for elevated roles)
  • Minimum of a restricted NZ driver’s licence (full licence preferred)
  • Own reliable transport
  • Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test
  • Strong focus on health & safety
  • Willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions

Why you’ll enjoy this role:

  • Variety of work across residential, commercial, and industrial sites
  • Weekly pay with competitive rates based on your skill level
  • PPE supplied for all workers
  • Supportive Tradestaff consultants who regularly check in on-site
