Action Sports Direct is a well-established New Zealand owned business. We are a well-respected seller of BRP, CFMOTO & Surron products in NZ. With two stores nationwide this is an exciting opportunity to join our nationwide company.


Action Sports Wanaka are currently looking for an experienced and qualified Technician / Mechanic to join our busy multi-franchised company in beautiful Central Otago. You will primarily be servicing and repairing ATVs, SSVs, Sea-doo watercraft /Jet skis and Motorcycles.


Primarily servicing and repairing, late model Motorcycles, SSV/ATV vehicles and Sea-doo Watercraft (Jet-Skis) with a small amount of Skidoo snowmobile and tracked vehicle work for the right applicant.


We would consider any applicants who have appropriate level mechanical experience regardless of field i.e. motorcycle, marine, outboard, and automotive etc.


The ideal candidate will have:


  • Preferably a motorcycle mechanic qualification with PDI & WOF experience or previous experience in a similar role
  • Good communication skills and a positive, friendly and happy attitude
  • A reliable and honest work ethic with a high level of integrity towards others
  • A high standard of workmanship and attention to detail, clearly understands 'do it once, do it right'
  • Be computer adept with a diagnostic skill set
  • Must have a full driver's licence
  • A full motorcycle and Forklift licence would be an advantage but not essential
  • Great efficiency and a clean, tidy worker
  • Good time management and be able to work under pressure and to deadlines
  • Be able to work unsupervised and able to work with others in a team environment


This is a full time position Monday - Friday and additional hours available on Saturdays during peak season.
