Our Client is looking for a technically strong, hands-on Level 3 engineer to join our Platform Services Team in Auckland

  • Microsoft Servers, Microsoft 365, Azure (CAF/WAF) and modern workplace services
  • AVD, RDS or FSLogix, Hyper-V, Linux, Microsoft Defender, Purview
  • Need someone with MSP experience

We’re looking for a Senior Systems Engineer to join a technical team delivering infrastructure support, project implementation and modern workplace services across multiple client hybrid environments.


This is a senior, client-facing technical role combining Level 3 escalations, hands-on project delivery and ongoing platform improvement. You’ll work across Windows Server, Microsoft 365, Azure, virtualisation, endpoint management and hybrid infrastructure, taking responsibility for delivering secure, reliable and well-documented solutions.


  • What You’ll be doing Level 3 Technical Support & Escalations Take ownership of complex technical escalations, from investigation and diagnosis through to resolution, testing and client communication.
  • Troubleshoot issues across Windows Server, Active Directory, Microsoft 365, identity, virtualisation, storage, applications and network dependencies.
  • Lead the technical implementation of infrastructure migrations, deployments, upgrades, remediation and modern workplace projects.
  • Produce clear technical documentation and provide effective handovers to service desk and operational teams.
  • Support Account Managers with technical discovery, solution options and pre-sales input, clearly explaining costs, dependencies and risks.
  • Maintain secure and reliable platforms through patching, monitoring, capacity planning, lifecycle management and configuration standards.
  • Manage backup and recovery arrangements, including testing against agreed recovery objectives..

You should also be comfortable applying Microsoft Cloud Adoption Framework (CAF) and Well-Architected Framework (WAF) principles when designing and implementing Azure solutions.


  • What We’re Looking For 5+ years of relevant infrastructure engineering experience working in an MSP environment
  • Experience to Azure and hybrid infrastructure, including an understanding of secure and well-architected cloud solutions.
  • A sound understanding of security, privileged access, controlled change and the need to protect information across separate client environments.
  • Deeper Azure experience, including AVD, RDS or FSLogix.Hyper-V, Linux administration, Microsoft Defender or Microsoft Purview.
  • Relevant Microsoft or infrastructure certifications.
