CNC Operator


We’re looking for an experienced CNC Operator to join a busy architectural timber operation in Te Rapa, Hamilton. This is a great opportunity for someone confident with CNC machinery who has experience with cutting and grooving and is familiar with Mach3 and ArtCAM software.


Location: Te Rapa, Hamilton

Start date: Immediate

Pay rate: $28–$34 per hour


What you'll be doing


  • Operating CNC machinery to cut, shape, drill and groove architectural timber components
  • Loading, positioning and safely handling timber and finished products
  • Reading and interpreting drawings, measurements and CNC job specifications
  • Setting up machinery, selecting tooling and making required adjustments
  • Checking finished components for accuracy, dimensions, quality and defects
  • Carrying out basic machine maintenance, cleaning and tooling changes
  • Following production schedules, machine safety procedures and workplace health and safety requirements
  • What we're looking forPrevious CNC operating experience
  • Confident carrying out cutting and grooving work
  • Familiarity with Mach3 software
  • Familiarity with ArtCAM CAD/CAM software
  • Ability to read and interpret drawings, plans and measurements
  • Good attention to detail and a strong focus on quality
  • A safety-conscious and reliable approach to work
