This role involves traffic management, site setup, labouring duties, and helping keep road users and work crews safe.

About the Role


  • As a Traffic Controller, you'll play a key role in ensuring the safe and efficient movement of traffic around worksites. You'll assist with the installation, maintenance, and removal of temporary traffic management systems while supporting crews with site operations and labouring activities.
  • Your responsibilities will include:
  • Setting up and removing traffic management sites
  • Performing Stop/Go traffic control duties
  • Managing traffic flow safely and efficiently
  • Supporting road maintenance and civil construction crews
  • Completing traffic management documentation and checks
  • Reporting incidents, hazards, and site changes
  • Assisting and mentoring trainees where required


About You


  • Class 1 NZ Driver Licence (Class 2 Licence would be advantageous)
  • Have a strong commitment to health and safety
  • Enjoy working outdoors in all weather conditions
  • Be reliable, flexible, and a great team player
  • Strong communication skills
  • Hold a Temporary Traffic Management qualification
  • Previous traffic management, roading, or civil construction experience will be advantageous
