Job Description

Trade Assist is looking for experienced Digger Operators to join a civil infrastructure project in Taupō.


If you’re confident operating machinery up to 13 tonnes and have experience in civil infrastructure, trenching or water reticulation installation, we’d like to hear from you.


What’s on offer:

  • $36 per hour
  • 55-hour weeks (Monday to Saturday)
  • $50 daily meal allowance for workers who are not local
  • PPE provided from the waist up
  • Candidates only need to provide steel-cap safety boots


What we’re looking for:

  • Proven digger operating experience
  • Experience operating machinery 13 tonnes and under
  • Class 2 driver licence & WTR required
  • Civil/infrastructure experience
  • Experience digging trenches and installing water reticulation
  • Solar farm experience would be an advantage


Site & Inductions:

  • Online induction must be completed before starting
  • A further site induction will be completed on arrival
  • Site Safe Civil is mandatory on site. If you don’t currently have Site Safe Civil, the cost can be covered, and you can complete it on arrival
