Be part of something new at BestStart Reynolds Green, our brand-new early learning centre opening in Pukekohe. Designed to provide exceptional education and care for tamariki aged 3 months to 5 years, this is an exciting opportunity to help shape a centre culture from the very beginning. We are seeking a passionate centre cook to create healthy and nutritious meals for our tamariki.


This is a permanent part-time position working 30 hours per week Monday - Friday.


What you’ll do:

  • Plan and prepare morning tea, lunch, and afternoon tea, focusing on healthy and nutritious options
  • Create delicious, culturally diverse meals that support the growth and development of tamariki
  • Cater thoughtfully to a range of dietary needs and allergies
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and hygienic kitchen environment
  • Use technology to design menus and manage weekly food orders
  • Work within a set budget to make the most of food and supplies

  • An understanding of the role nutrition plays in early childhood development
  • Knowledge of kitchen safety and hygiene standards
