Job Description

Tradestaff is looking for five experienced Carpenters to join a long-term project at Arapuni Dam, near Putāruru.


With structural formwork, boxing and concrete work lined up for 18+ months, this is a great opportunity for carpenters who enjoy hands-on project work and take pride in quality workmanship.


Location: Arapuni Dam, near Putāruru

Start date: Immediate

Pay rate: $30–$35 per hour, depending on experience

Positions available: Five

What you’ll be doing

  • Building and installing structural formwork and boxing
  • Completing carpentry tasks associated with concrete construction
  • Measuring, cutting and assembling materials accurately
  • Reading and working from plans
  • Working alongside the site team to keep the project progressing
  • Maintaining safe and tidy work areas

What we’re looking for

  • Proven carpentry experience, including structural formwork and boxing
  • Confidence working on concrete construction projects
  • Your own tools
  • Reliable transport to get to site each day
  • A strong work ethic and commitment to site safety
  • Contactable work references
  • A clear Ministry of Justice (MOJ) check
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test

This role may suit applicants based in Putāruru, Kihikihi, Te Awamutu, Tīrau, Lichfield, Cambridge or Tokoroa who can travel to Arapuni Dam. No accommodation is provided.
