BedsRus & La-Z-Boy Ashburton is looking for a motivated, professional and personable Salesperson to join our friendly and energetic team.


We're a locally family-owned business, proudly part of a successful national franchise, specialising in quality beds, bedroom furniture and La-Z-Boy lounge furniture 7 days a week.


We're looking for someone who genuinely enjoys talking to people, building rapport and helping customers find the right solution. If you have a passion for interiors, great communication skills and a natural ability to connect with customers, we'd love to hear from you.


What you'll be doing:


  • Connecting with customers and understanding what they're looking for
  • Providing outstanding, personalised customer service
  • Guiding customers through their purchase and confidently closing sales
  • Taking phone enquiries and following up on opportunities
  • Ordering and managing stock
  • Keeping the showroom looking its best
  • Working as part of a supportive, positive and energetic team
  • Using computer and POS systems as part of your day-to-day role


What we're looking for


We're after someone with excellent communication skills and plenty of personality.


You'll ideally be:


  • A natural people person who enjoys conversation
  • Confident communicating with a wide range of customers
  • Motivated, self-driven and hungry to succeed
  • Professional, positive and reliable
  • Comfortable asking questions, listening and recommending solutions
  • Focused on delivering an exceptional customer experience
  • Interested in interior décor, furniture and creating beautiful spaces

  • Comfortable using computers and POS systems
  • Keen to learn and develop your sales skills


Previous sales experience is preferred, but not essential. If you're naturally confident, engaging, motivated and genuinely enjoy working with people, we can provide the training and support to help you succeed.
