Senior/Principal Civil Engineer (CPEng), Tauranga

$160,000 + Bonus + Vehicle + Laptop + Phone + Future potential for ownership


The Company


Our client is a well-established Bay of Plenty consultancy with a strong presence in the civil, land development and infrastructure space.


They are known for delivering practical, high-quality engineering outcomes and for working closely with clients, councils and project partners across a diverse range of development projects.


Due to growth they have an outstanding opportunity for a Chartered Senior/Principal Civil Engineer to join their team.


This role comes with real potential to be a key leader in the business and grow towards business ownership.


The Role


  • Civil engineering design and delivery across a wide range of subdivision, commercial and land development projects
  • Senior Technical guidance across stormwater, wastewater, roading, earthworks, utilities and civil infrastructure
  • Deliver projects from inception to completion
  • Communicate with key clients and stakeholders including clients, contractors and councils
  • Mentor and train engineering design team
  • Review designs, calculations, reports and documentation


About You


  • CPEng
  • Strong experience in the New Zealand land development industry
  • Ambitious and energetic
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Experience leading projects balancing technical detail, deadlines, budgets and client expectations
  • Experienced in reviewing engineering outputs and providing clear direction to junior and intermediate staff
  • Good working knowledge of three waters, roading, earthworks, servicing and local authority requirements
  • Professional, commercially aware
